The roots of ProPump & Controls, Inc. go back to the beginning of the first prefabricated automated pump systems for golf courses in the mid-1970’s. Several manufacturers of irrigation pump stations emerged from that period, among them Pumping Systems, Inc., of Dallas, Texas, and Commercial Pump of Swanton, Ohio. Both of these companies were heavily focused on custom products and strong customer service. In 1993, a third company, Flowtronex International of Tyler Texas, purchased Commercial Pump Company. In 1994  Flowtronex acquired Pumping Systems, Inc., to form Flowtronex PSI. Overnight, Flowtronex PSI was established as the clear market leader in the business. The strength of the combined service capabilities of Commercial Pump and PSI were widely recognized as a key factor in the success of Flowtronex PSI. Flowtronex PSI continued to invest heavily in its service infrastructure, especially in the eastern US, with it’s flagship organization, the Eastern Service Group.

Times and markets change, and Flowtronex was eventually acquired by new corporate owners more interested in manufacturing standardized products to meet the demands of multiple markets, rather than continuing to manufacture custom products for specialized applications. Consequently, the company began divesting its service assets to interested buyers.

ProPump and Controls, Inc., now under private ownership, consists of many of the former Eastern Service Group employees in both the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. With over 20 highly skilled field technicians, the combined technical experience of our sales and field force is in excess of 240 years!  Moreover, management is 100% committed  to providing our customers with best-in-class service and products.
